Bethan Lewis Delorme, Practice Manager Coleen Moen, Office Manager Julie Dams, V.O.A., Assistant Manager
Bethan Lewis Delorme
Born and raised on the west coast, Bethan has worked in many facets of the veterinary industry as a kennel attendant, receptionist, veterinary assistant, and Office Manager before becoming our dedicated Practice Manager. She first joined VAEC in 1990 to be a part of a team that offers the invaluable service of 24 hour emergency care to both domestic and wild animals. “My interests within the veterinary field are to continually improve the workplace environment and to provide support to the team of people who dedicate themselves to providing excellent emergency veterinary care for our patients. I absolutely love watching an owner and their (tail-wagging or purrrring) pet reunited in the reception area when they are ready to go home.”
Bethan’s diverse interests outside of work include singing, songwriting, reading, Pilates and walking just about anywhere in nature. She and her husband Matt share their home (and are servants to) a Whoodle, Jackson, 2 Devon Rex cats Tweet and Razzle, and PB Nutkin, the chinchilla. She continuously strives for a balanced, healthy and joyous life and humbly brings that philosophy to make each of our work lives significantly better…
“After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.” Aldous Huxley
Coleen Moen
As a youngster, Coleen dreamed of becoming a veterinarian or perhaps... an accountant. Upon graduation, she was thrilled to be offered a job at VAEC where she has blossomed (over the last 25 years!) to combine both of her interests. As Office Manager, Coleen handles the bookkeeping, payroll and a myriad of details that keep the administrative side of Animal ER running smoothly.
When not at work, Coleen is busy keeping up on the activities of her husband and three children. In her spare time she volunteers with Girl Guides of Canada as well as her church Nursery. “Family and people are what is important.”
When Coleen’s family grows up she wishes to travel North America (possibly on a Harley) and Australia, but until then she is enjoying the challenges of working at a busy emergency clinic with a team (a.k.a. family) of great people.
