Bandit Update

|
Here at Animal ER we love happy endings, so we wanted
to give an update on Bandit, the cat that received
the blood transfusion that is shown on this website.
Thanks in part to one of our wonderful blood donors,
"Kermode" were happy to report Bandit has
made a full recovery and is doing great.

Telly's Tummy Trouble

|
Telly was normally a picky eater, so when he didn't
touch his dinner that night, I was not initially concerned.
To entice him, I conjured up some boiled pork and
sat with him. "Yummy soup meat!" I coaxed
him. He gave me a suspicious look, then took a few
bites. He slunk off to lay in his crate.

Bear the Police Dog

|
One busy Sunday afternoon, we received an urgent phone
call from the Vancouver police department. One of
their police dogs, Bear, had been electrocuted on
the street as he was working a drug house. The officer
on the phone told us that Bear had fallen to the ground
in convulsions and had stopped breathing.

Bear Update

|
In June 2004, Bear and Constable Ray Wong drop in
for a visit while on the job in Kitsilano. Dr. Teresa
Hall and VAEC staff were more than happy to spend
some time giving Bear lots of pats & hugs. Bear
is doing great and we're pleased to report that he
is back on the job keeping our streets safe!
